MLIS Alumna Receives 2014 Robert Munsch Award

Congratulations to Nadine Lincoln, MLIS ’14, who is the recipient of the 2014 Robert Munsch Award, for her paper “Spunky Female Protagonists in  Munsch Narratives.”

The Guelph Public Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Guelph Public Library,  offers the annual Robert Munsch Award, in the amount of $1,000 CDN, for the best short essay or position paper discussing the place or impact of the writings of Robert Munsch in English Language Children’s Literature.

Asked for comment on the award, Ms. Lincoln said: “Wow, I am ecstatic!! This means so Munsch to me! (Sorry for the bad joke.) Robert Munsch is an author so dear to my heart and is embedded in my early memories of reading. I especially appreciated his strong, spunky female protagonists at a time when there was a lack of such. I’m honoured to honour him!”
