Purpose of the project:
The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre strives to digitize and describe our collections to the item level so they can be made accessible on our web-based collections catalogue collections.vhec.org. This 120-hour student project will assist with the arrangement, description, and digitization of accessioned collections in our backlog.
Summary of activities required to carry out the project:
This project must take place on-site at the VHEC. Hours are flexible within the hours of operation. Training will be provided by the Archivist.
- Arrange records following the principle of provenance
- Create fonds-, series-, and item-level descriptions according to the Rules for Archival Description (RAD)

- If time permits, upload descriptions and media representations to our collections management system.
