Mapping in the Web with CARTO Builder

Carto’s Builder is a web-based geographic information system (GIS) that allows you to create, edit, and share maps online while providing simplified ways to visualize and manage your spatial data. This workshop is meant to get you started using the free version of the Carto Builder software by introducing its user interface, data repository, and spatial analysis and styling features.

This workshop is for those of you who are just getting started with using GIS and/or would like a simplified alternative to traditional GIS software. Builder is a great tool for working with tabular data, creating simple web maps, or as a quick cloud-based GIS. Builder is not the best option if you are working with very large datasets, imagery, or require a suite of analysis tools.
