It’s a great time for School Libraries in BC !

Please join colleagues from around the Lower Mainland to celebrate National School Library day at UBC, as part of the iSchool’s colloquium series.

This 2 hour professional sharing event will bring together a broad cross-section of Educators and Librarians to share information and resources supporting the School Library Learning Commons movement in Canada. Learn about the Teacher Librarian Education program, browse a display of publications, and hear about the many relationships that exist between school libraries and other organizations.

Light refreshments, coffee, tea provided.

3:45 Program start with introduction by Peggy Lunn, Head of UBC’s Education Library

3:45-4:50 sharing sessions from:

  • Marlene Asselin, UBC’s Teacher Librarian Education Program
  • Dana McFarland, Vancouver Island University
  • Kate Henderson and JoAnne Coggan, Telus Science World
  • Vancouver Public Library’s Summer Reading Programs

4:50-5:30 Informal discussion and time for questions
